The Kingston Blount Racing Club (KBRC) is a non-profit making organisation formed with the intention of maintaining the annual four meeting structure and supporting the improvement of Kingston Blount as a point to point venue. Those who enjoy their racing at Kingston Blount are invited to join the Kingston Blount Racing Club. The annual membership is £20 per year for which each member receives two newsletters, a discounted upper car park label and a voucher for a free racecard for the Kingston Blount Racing Club fixture. In 2012 there are two races reserved for horses owned by members of the KBRC. The first at the Club’s own meeting on 10 March and the second at the Kimblewick fixture on 12 May. Further membership benefits will be added as the club develops. More details of membership can be obtained from the KBRC Meeting Secretary Stewart Nash. In 2011 Kingston Blount celebrated 40 years of racing on the course established by Col Arthur Clerke-Brown in 1971. To mark the occasion Stewart Nash produced a short history of the course and of its predecessor at nearby Crowell. A few copies of the booklet remain and can be obtained from the author at £3.50 including postage. All proceeds from the book are donated towards KBRC funds. |
