Kimblewick Farm was bought by Mr. Stanley Rose in 1912: he ran the first point to point there that year for The Old Berkeley Hunt. It was a great success and he continued to run one annually until 1933, when the farm was purchased by the Robarts Family, and has been in their possession since then (79 years). In the 20's and 30's it attracted huge entries. In 1930 The Pegasus Club held their meeting at Kimble and continued to do so until 1983. In 1937 four meetings were held that year - a record for courses at that time. For many years three meetings were held - The Old Berkeley, The Bicester and Warden Hill and The Pegasus Club. The Prince of Wales and Prince Aly Khan ran their horses there. In 1974 The Queen Mother attended and presented the trophies to the winners of each of the six races. In 1963 the course was re-designed by Jack Knight (from Windsor Racecourse). Lord Oasksey rode his first winner there. Fizz Robarts became National Ladies Point to Point Champion.
